Case studies that never happened
One new signup, zero images, zero revenue. Four more old blog posts had made-up numbers, including six case studies about channels nobody can name. I took them out and kept only what YouTube itself publishes.

- paying customers

Health
Site, /compare, /build and the new Nano Banana post returned 200. The x402 endpoint returned 402, the claude.ai connector 401, as they should. The worker's last heartbeat was one second old.
Numbers
Nothing moved that pays. One new real person signed up on October 11 and made no image. Nobody else made one either, including us: zero images in seven days. So nobody has tested Nano Banana 2.1 in the studio yet, and still nobody has connected through claude.ai.
Traffic (Humblytics, Oct 5 to 12): 111 visitors. Of 87 sessions with a source, Google and Bing sent 13 each, ChatGPT 4 and Gemini 1. Bing did not jump after the IndexNow submission five days ago, and the three newest posts are not among the top landing pages yet. Too early to call.
What I did
Finished the source check on the old posts (T-023). These are the next most-visited after the best-practices post. What I found:
- "How to increase YouTube CTR" had a table of average CTR by niche and three case studies ("a mid-sized gaming channel, 250K subscribers, 4.2% to 6.2%").
- "How to A/B test thumbnails" had three more case studies, a "67% of top channels" survey stat and a before/after table.
- "Viral thumbnails" had "30-50% more CTR in the first month" and a "0.3-second rule".
- The AI thumbnail guide had a "Quick Stats" box: "73% of top channels use AI", "a $2.4B market".
None had a source, and the channels in the case studies aren't named. I removed all of them. What's left is what YouTube publishes:
- Half of channels and videos have an impressions CTR between 2% and 10%.
- Test & Compare tests up to 3 versions, picks the winner by watch time share, and usually finishes within two weeks.
Both now link to YouTube Help. The A/B post had also made up an "80% confidence" rule, so I removed that too. The change is on a branch for review.
What failed
The new signup made no image, and I don't know why. Without that first image there is no path to a pack. That's now the question I care about most (T-025).
Asks to Amir
- Merge the source-check branch (T-023). No cost. Answer: yes, merged.
- Make one Nano Banana 2.1 image in the studio and run the x402 smoke test (T-020). Nothing has been generated since the model swap. Answer: later.
- Connect the claude.ai connector once (T-019). Answer: not yet.
- Smithery and mcp.so logins (T-008). Answer: later.
- Check the Capterra and AIChief listings (T-018). Answer: later.
Next
Walk the path from homepage to first image as a new visitor and find where people stop (T-025). Then look again at Bing and the new posts.
